Are you planning some sort of intercooler too?

I for one will be interested to see what your IAT's will be at 10 lbs. without cooling.
I'm guessing you will be at about 90 hp at 7 lbs and 105 hp at 10 lbs. if you don't get any detonation.....;)

No intercooler as of yet. I wanted to see if this was a feasible as in for a low boost kit option. And an intercooler would just pop most budgets.

If everything goes well, I may put my intercooler back in or just use my meth injection. All in due time.

I'm sure you can find a spot to install your WI so you can turn up the boost.

You know you'll never be happy with 7 lbs. or for that matter 10 lbs.......

I honestly had no problem with the power I already had. Almost more than my bid motor. I just didn't have to worry about anything. If 7psi gets it up and going a little quicker, I'll be good! I have lots more to try on this little thing. Bigger boost will be saved for the ITB's with turbo and intercooler. That will be closer to the time when my big motor ready. Just incase I go overboard

How much boost do you think the stock clampless end casting hoses will take?

I ran those to 12psi without leaks on my 2276. At 10 should be fine.

Glad you got it up and running again, sounds tough.

Have you got any limitations in mind with respect to the completely bone stock rotating assembly and valve train (rev limit/goal)? Or are you gonna push it and find the weak link(s) ?

Yup, I'll limit it to 4500 maybe 4700 depending on the new curve. Boost will stay conservative as well. I'm not interested in detonating this thing until my big motor is ready to go. But even then I still want to try the 38 ITB's on here, then turbo that setup as well!

Big plans!!!

Well today I dynoed. Not what I was hoping for but a good starting point I guess. Only made 90hp and boost comes on real late. It's not push you into the seat power.

What I noticed out on the street is that my CHT temps are down about 100 degrees and EGT's are down about 200. Same location for both sensors. That is going from a 1.375" header and muffler with J-tubes to my 1.5" turbo header. Obviously it worked much better with my 2L

Boost comes on around 3000 and builds to 9psi by 4500. Other than that is drives just like normal unless I really try to get moving from a stop. We will see what comes of it from here :)

You need to turn that engine up to 5000 or 5200 rpm...

No sense in turning it more. The power falls off after 4500.
