I never dynoed my 1600 but it never seemed to drop off at 4500. It seemed to keep on pulling and my 1679 definitely will go beyond 5200 if I let it.

My estimate of your hp was pretty close to what you got.....

It would keep going I'm sure, but when the numbers are going down I didn't need to push it.

That's not too shabby; roughly 112 hp @ the flywheel.

Try a T25, that'll fatten your TQ curve.

Originally we planned on a T25 for it but a T3 is more cost effective and for a brouder range of customers. Looks like we may have to build a special little T25 for it in the future.

What's the spec on this turbo? Perhaps a T3 could still work, using the smallest hot side parts: .36 turbine, small wheel, ect.

Have you like looked at the Garrett gt1548 or the gt2052(1) for this build? The flow map for that t3 seems too much for it.

It was picked for the ease of using it on a larger motor as well. I just thought it might work a little better on this little guy than it did :)

Oh, I see. That turbos flow map would work on something larger a 1776. You don't want to do turbo options on these proposed kits?

I think it has more to do with available headers. There is no 1 3/8" with a T25 flange available. A custom one would add largely to the cost.

Yeah that was a major consideration. It would be great for a larger package. I just don't have anything like that here to test it with.
