I just let my ecu run the show. No seperate controller. I can datalog the HSV DC, although i may run an injector pulse to it this year, since that was my initial plan with it when i built the system.

Mine? No, my pump is on or off, but i have a high speed valve (think fuel injector for water) that is running based on a duty cycle table.

For the clutch upgrade, replacing the twin thin disks with two thick disks (try saying that fast after a few beers haha) so I needed to remove the "spacer" on the flywheel.
This made it a lot lighter (minus 1,2 kg):

Woow 1,2 KG! thats not much.. What does it weigth with pressure plate and the disks? (looks like a piece of art tho.. )

I know my stock 411 flywheel weight "only" about 7 KG! But for me ok in a Splitcreen..

Hi Udo,
I think you mis-understood: before, this machined flywheel had 1,2 kg more due to an additionel 'rubbing disk' attached to the friction surface. Hence the many small screw holes you can still see.
At this moment - after removal of the 1,2 kg disk - it only weighs 4,2 kg. See scale ;-)

914 flywheels indeed weigh 7,5 kg originally.
This one was made from a Chinese chro-mo 200mm unit. Then machined.
The tilton unit with double disk weighs just 4.0 kg, so 8,2 total iirc.

Wally,
Does that double disc setup fit in a stock flywheel or do you have to machine it for a deeper cut to give clearance for the unit????

Edit....

Never mind......looking closer I can see it needs machining......

The flywheel wouldn't need a deeper cut neccesarily, but you do need to stack the teo disks and the floater plates thicknesses until the unit has the right preload after torquing it down. Lots of disk options (thickness and type) to choose from and there isn't a bolt-on set for our aircooled engines unfortunately..
For my set-up, I ideally need a 0,5mm thicker floater (which doesn't exit of the shelf) or the same thickness as an extra depth cut. I think this should work for now through ;-)

That wiring looks even more complicated than mine...

Does that flipped firewall come out yet??? It looks like you have it siliconed in already......

I don't think I could bend enough to work on all that stuff back there without removing the firewall....... :D

Of course you probably have a bunch of rollbar tubes in the way inside the bug too...

Looking great Wally!!!!

I know! Its 10 years old and my very first wiring job. It sucks. Big time.
Its freesing cold here now though and there are more important jobs to do...(aren't there always)

Dude! I didn't silicone anything! Its special welding cover-up stuff  but deffo not silicon based!!
And I don't need access from yet another angle! Strength is important and I have plenty easy access; I''am not that old
Looking great Wally!!!!
Tnx! This thread finally shows the turbo in place, so I feel great!

ATM, fitting and adjusting the scattering shield and trying to reinstall the 3-bar 'Cup-streben' (tranny fork-shock tower connections).
Just had the alternator checked and it works flawlessly, so the Voltage dips are probably originated from somewhere else or my wiring..

Anyways, I got most of the stainless bends and flanges for building the twin-scroll header 8)

Ah sorry for misunderstanding.. looks like my tel display is too small

Thanks for the info! looking forward in updates about connecting the turbo 8)

Finally started building the header!
Almost spot-tacked all the primaries as they will run:
