I finally got my case back today from Brothers and it looks great. I am currently helping a friend build a new railbuggy so we need to finish his before I can spend some time on my engine. Hopefully I can get back to the 1915 in a couple of weeks.

I received my MS3X V3.57 yesterday from Mario and I am very excited. I was planning to work on my motor over the weekend but the wife and friends have convinced me to go play. It didn't take much convincing. My 1776 is still doing great but I cant wait for a lil more power. I have a few small projects to finish for friends, then I can get back to my 1915 build.

How are you calculating 179% IC efficiency?

I need to fix that. When I wrote the calc I assumed if (temp in = temp out) that was 100% efficient. I just need to move the decimal.

If temp in = temp out, there is no heat transfer?

Well plans have changed again, my "brother" from KY just dropped of his buggy for me to change out his bj front beam to kp with combo spindles. As soon as that project is done I will be ordering crank and rods for a turboed 2276 :D . I need to help another friend rebuild his 2110 then I will finally get to work on my 2276 with a TD04 13T subie and MS3x. After having a boosted buggy, I just cant imagine not having a turbo. Boost is 5X more addictive than heroin. :twisted:

Well, after taking on several more projects, I hope to see some daylight by the weekend and finally get started on my 2276. I need to clearance the case for the 82mm crank so that will be my first step, then assemble shortblock so I can get heads ordered. Hopefully have some progress pics by Sunday night. I am very happy with the 82mm crank and H beam rods that I received from DRD.

I actually got to work on my own buggy this weekend :D :D . More fun than working on other buggies but also much more expensive. I clearance my AS41 case for the 82mm crank and 5.4 H beam rods, started out with carbide cutter in diegrinder but ended up using 60 grit flapwheel, easier to control and still removes material quickly. This is my first stroker so I have lots to learn. I did my first mockup after reassembly and realized that on my decked case the pistons protrude from the cylinders so I will order cylinder shims tomorrow so I can see how much the cylinders need trimmed to give me .050 deck height with copper head gaskets.

good job Ken, one reason I prefer shortrods,, :wink:
some H-beams are fun to get enough clearance :roll: ,, 912 Porsche rod w/ 84 mm crank was a lot less
time to clearance :)

I finally got my case fully clearanced, and deck height sorted out thanks to Gary Davis and his lighting fast shipping of the Scat shims that actually measure as advertised and have no lip. I now need to order a scale so my Mahle pistons can all have the same weight( I used to borrow one from a friend but he has passed away). Next step is to clean case and other parts so I will be ready to reassemble when pistons are balanced.

Well I live in the middle of nowhere so I would have to drive an hour to find a scale store so I ordered a $7 shipped 1000g digital scale from ebay. I received it yesterday and weighed various items of different weights 10 times each and received the same results each time so I am quite pleased with the cheap scale. I balanced my pistons today but 1 is .1 gram lighter than the others so it will get matched with the wrist pin that is .1g heavier than the others. There was less than 2g difference between my set of Mahle pistons when I started. Was hoping to get more done on my motor but tore down a 2110 for a friend that will be rebuilt as a 2276.
