With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

Boost is just a matter of tapping some computer buttons :)

1641ccm, EFI, Mahle pistons and barrels, CB044 40x35 heads, Precision turbo - 354 whp at 25psi and increasing at higher boost as the turbo get into the area where it really shines 8)
You forgot to mention you reach 2 bar about nearly every race, which are several each year.
That engine in his car really seems to survive "everthing"!
And behaves like this:

Our 2332 draw through turbo motor made 385 rwhp and 310 rwtq at 30.7 psi boost on c16. At this boost/power level we went 10.20 at 142. Our goal is to get to the nines with this setup. All through a built Autocraft cased type 1 box.

Yes it is. The engine has mostly street miles around (3-5k miles) , and approx 80 passes at the strip. When we took it apart for a freshen up, the bearings werent bad at all. We even reused the main bearings. We had the super diff break on us though. He drove it down to the classic (around 100 miles one way) and on the way home , while coasting in stop and go traffic, went to accelerate and the car wouldnt go anywhere. Had it towed back to the shop, and tore it down. Found the super diff had broken apart. Luckily everthing else was ok ,accept for the axles that were pretty beat up around the spades.

Glad to see you over here! Shag mentioned the 10.20 when I saw him at Sac. That is a major gain from Vegas! Nice work! Can't wait to hear about the 9 when it comes!

Well I finished the oil and fuel leaks  it took awhile but I'm over that hurdle. Now I have to adjust my clutch and start driving

This is a little under that boost level and I have not had. It on the street or on the track at that level but should soon. I'll attach a dyno pull.
I've been at 14 psi on the track and street, so far good for 6.90's at 100.

How far are you hoping to push the new motor? Will it go 30+? Its a pump gas setup right? Or are you planning to improve on your last PB?

Hi Chip,

this one is more for endurance, it will see 30psi if needed but with only 4 studs per cylinder I won't be pushing it much more, yes pump gas or E85 only, no intercooler just a simple street engine ;) I built it with aim for high 9s really & living.
There is another engine on the stand for the old cab that will see 40psi plus I hope in the future!!!!

cheers Richie

Okay cool, thats kinda what i figured. E85 should get you there if you need it i would think.

Whats the new one you are building?! Is it another 4 inch setup? You sold the old bullet, right?

No back to a normal 94 bore deal on this one, 2332cc with hopefully a better design throughout based on from what I learnt with the old one [yes that's sold now] More compression and lift,TF1 case again, 6 stud heads with raceware studs, better rocker design with 6 bolt cradle holding them down, hoping it will spin to 9000rpm so valve train control is a big focus on this one :)
