Not in addition to, instead of the std box.

MS1 works but few folks here run it anymore.
It hasn't been updated in ages, as they used up all available memory space.
I have only played with it on the bench to test mainboards.
didnt see this before i made the order, ill send them an email and see if i can get the ms3 box

And I have overtime money burning a hole in my pocket
And i am really interested in the EFI/tuning aspect of it and would like to learn
A megasquirt setup is awesome for ADHD ;-) Plenty to fiddle with.
You might was well start looking fro good deals on fuel pumps etc...

Don't forget to get a wideband O2 if you lack one now.
Makes jettting properly doable.
If you have injection, set up right the registered version of tuner studio can tune fuel all by itself most places.
14point7.com has units that are very reliable, and start at $35. (really)

You don't have to register or really need to for ignition only, unless you want a fancy dashboard to autoload.
You can still create dashes and manually load.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I do already have an innovative o2 set up I run currently

And they said that it's already shipped and they didn't see the email about the ms3 box. But he said I can trade it in for a credit and get the ms3 box

Yeah, that's the one you want. The megamanual is a bit out of date these days.

There, fixed that for you.

The Megamanual documents the hardware used entirely differently by completely non-related firmware.
Using it with MSExtra is like trying to use a London subway map to get around Detroit.
It will end badly.

ok so i should probably post this is the mega squirt section but to keep it simple ill ask in my thread first. Im not sure if i put in Q16 or not on my board, the directions are confusing and tell my to look at a different step before installing and that step directs me to the ignition section of the manual. Q16 is a high current coil driver.
