Hi all I'm new to this turbocharging so please go easy on me I'm wanting to turbo my 1600 bug I had a stock 1300 with a turbo many many years ago and loved it to death and now I want another one but I want to do it myself. Any way I have a few questions I hope you lot can answer for me
1: what turbo to go for? Only planning on running 10-12 psi of boost and I want it to spin up early and not to late in the rpm range
2: is it best to have the turbo up high in the engine bay to help the oil drain back or will it be ok if I place it low down by the header?
3: I have a pair of dell 36 carbs witch I'm running but would I be better if running a solex dis 32 carb from a Renault 5GT?
4: if the dell's are the carb to go with what exactly needs to be done to them to get them ready for boost?
