Heater channel tin under pushrod tubes
Are there cooling advantages/disadvantages to running this engine sheet metal under the pushrod tubes with a turbo engine? Running a turbo engine in the heat of Phoenix and looking for any/all advantages! Thanks in advance.

I run all the tin on my engine.
I even made tins to fill in where the heat exhangers used to be.

Shooing the hot air out the back as designed is a feature...
Less is not more here.
There are industrial tin bits available for nox-HX setups to fill the gaps at the sides.
You want to run the full Tstat setup to speed up warmups unless you only drive when its over 100F.
The flaps should be left in place even if wired open, improves air distribution to where its really needed.
Don't forget the little deflector under the heads like modern heads lack, even if you have to make them.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
