This is a video of my 2276 cc motor witch cost a fortune to build. It's not that much quicker than the 1600 turbo bug now 😁
PS all the runs in the difference cars all used the same size tyres

And this video is the first run I ever did in the turbo motor.
I've gained around 3 seconds from 0-60 mph since this first run 😁

That idle a/f ratio says there's something wrong, my guess it's the position of the sensor, too close to the end?

Wow, that 1600T pulls hard!

Yes the sensor is at the end of the exhaust.
The little 1600 is pulling even better now. I've dropped the mains down from 1.35 to 1.25 but I think I've gone to far, although she pulls harder with the smaller mains I can hear detonation at 7psi 😞

Just a quick question. I know what happens when in increase the size of the ventruis it most the power band up high in the rpm range, you lose lower end torque but gain more power in the upper rpm rang. But what happens if you go to small? Does low end power reach its max and thats it and going any small just decrease top end power even further?

Ha ha ha 😂 fart threw a straw.
Well I'm going to try a pair of 24 mm vents in the carbs to see what happens. I'm running 28mm venturis now witch are working but thought I have a go at different sizes. I've tried a pair of 30mm vents and she lost a lot of go in the lower rpm range and a pair of 32mm vents and she would just about idle on her own but would stall out ever time you went near the accelerator pedal so now going to go in the opposite direction and drop down from the 28mm vents to the 24mm vents.
PS before anyone asks yes I did rejet the carb ever time I changed the vent size.

Will be back later tonight with some results

Just for you madmike tried a 24 & 30 mm vent but the bug drove the same way as when I had a pair of 28mm vents in. Going to try both 24mm vents now and get the jetting sorted and will back 😁

😁 24mm vents work great for the first time ever I can just floor the accelerator in any gear at any rpm and she goes and goes well now more stumbling at around the 101Kpa area and no more hesitation if I put my foot down. Throttle response has improved massively and the turbo seems to be coming in quicker but that may just be because the engine is responding better to the throttle. I've not noticed any issues with reduced power at the top end either she will still rev nicely (over boost) to 5500 rpm and when on boost there's no problems at all I can still hit 6000rpm

Here's a quick video of my turbo bug ,BLUE THUNDER, doing a 0-90mph pull with the new tiny 24mm venturis in. Got a little scray around 75mph when I select forth, the rear wheels lost traction 😂
