Re: 1641 Turbo EFI Manx. Stage 2: Mockup!
Got it all tacked, the stainless exhaust was spot on. Super happy me!.
The turbo to intercooler was also good.
Intercooler to TB was off, something got missalligned when using the tape for mockup.
I had to cut 3 tacks and redo some of the spacers between the bends, also had to add a pie-cut (out of a bend) to get then joined.
The silicone boots take some of the missalignment but i want it to be as nice as possible.
I broke 1 tack when fitting the pipe in the silicone boot, where the bright yellow tape is.
The light yellow tape is where i had to redo the bends

Thanks!
I plan to paint the alloy in alloy collor paint. Will stay cleaner for a longer time.
I got an appointment with my engine builder.
Gonna take a look at my injector vs end castings problem.
Injector pushed down all the way:
Endcasting with fully installed hardware. Note: not all the way down in the end casting:
Comparising shot:
Also order some fuel lines parts and look over various parts.
Next job will be finding a spot for the 2 lambda's and make an alloy bung for the IAT sensor.
Also need to find a spot for the coil pack

Guess if i grind that raised edge down off the end casting the injectors will seat deep enough.
That leaves me 8mm of threads.
Toughts?

Be very, very careful on reducing the height on that mount. Measure the depth needed very closely as too much removal can be as bad or worse than too little. Also make sure the mounting surface remains flat.
Sounds petty to post basic stuff like this but material is harder to add than remove. You used the word "grind" where in this case "mill" would be a safer method. Seen this happen more than once in my life; I learned by lesson by someone else making the mistake in similar cases.

I tought to fille it bit by bit.
Cant affort to take it to a milling shop and get worked on. They are few and far inbetween over here
It will take too long and cost to much in relation to the work needed.
It dont seem that delicate to do...

Not sure why it needs to come down at all. I dont really think the seat is a sealing surface as much as the outside diameter is. If the injectors are bolted down, I bet they won't leak.

Re: 1641 Turbo EFI Manx. Stage 2: Mockup!
We're a bit worried that when the "after-turbo section" sees boost pressure, the air could leak trough the seat area of the o-ring.
The o-ring is only seated 1mm (or half off the surface area of the O-ring) in the injector tube.
Guess better to be safe than sorry.
Makes sense?

One for the cb gen4 efi
One for my aem dash gauge. Its a boost and afr in 1 gauge
Or can i take the wires from 1 lambda sensor and splice them. 1 to the efi wiring loom and 1 to the gauge?

On that injector fitment - I'd be more inclined to tweak the mounting bracket. A heavy duty vice or a hyd. press and properly sized socket should squeeze it together a bit more (with the center section bowing in or out a little).
