Do you really suppose he was turning 8000 rpm on a non counterweighted stock crank?!?!

Oh trust me I've watched them! Alot! I can't really tell over the other cars. But I guess to make 400 hp with that thing he almost has to be turning big rpms. I wonder what kind of compression he runs?!

I wonder how good E85 is there. I've been reading up on it and it seems "most" at local stations here is only 105 octane. Supposed to be 116 and is at some stations. Apparently it's the gas in the blend that messes it up.

28psi on my local e70(supposed to be e85, but actually comes out at 70%). Should put me in the 350whp range I'd think, thats good enough for me.

On the subject of Holsets I have used a couple on my drag car (mk2 golf with a 1.8t) i have used a 14cm HX35 twinscroll on an open header and at about 28 psi it made 446hp on a 9.5-1 engine on another lower compression engine it made 420hp (8.5-1) at the same boost and with a 100 shot of nitrous it made 559 hp the only problem i had with it was the spool was quite late on the road without the nitrous ~5000 rpm

I have since moved on to a 10cm HY35 and it spools quite a bit sooner about (4300rpm) and although i haven't had it on a dyno yet i ran a 10th quicker (10.7 v 10.8 on the hx) with less nitrous only a 40 shot rather than a 100.

I plan on using a spare HY35 i have on my next project beetle currently collecting bits for a 2109cc and building the pan up using a 6 rib box not aiming for massive power but have the holset sat there so will try it.
