Weber 40 dcoe idle setting

Post by advinnie »

Hi all just a quick one, I’m using a Weber 40 dcoe in a draw through turbo set up on my bug, now to get it to idle at 900-1100rpm I have to wind in the idle speed screw a long way and the butterflies are uncovering the progression ports. Now to bring the butterflies back into the correct position could I just increase the idle timing a little more?

Yes you can but you will have to somehow limit your max timing since you don't have any control on the distributor........unless you have a black box or something....

I have full control of my timing so that is not a problem.
