thing appropriate exhausts

Post by helowrench »

lets talk mufflers.

looking to install a muffler on a 73
he is not necessarily after a stock system, just trying to get rid of the crappy bug style exhaust.
no heat exchangers will be used.
what fits well?, and looks decent?

show pics if you have them, please.

One of the advertisers over on the Samba shows a muffler system that looks to fit the thing and exits though the bumper. I would guess to be used with heaters or J tubes. I think under $100.

If you want the best, check out what The Thing Shop offers. I put their polished stainless steel dual system on my '74 and threw away the S&S system. It performs, looks, fits and sounds great plus it'll last the life of my car. Not cheap, but you'll never need to do it again. They have unpolished for a little less. thethingshop.com Image
