Post by vwfleh »

Hi K-mann, Here is a picture of the box door detail.
My wheels were on a New Beetle. 5 x 100 Borbet wheels.

I looked at my last post and wanted to clarify that the door hinges are just hardware store hinges. Bent on the triangle end in a vise.

For those of you unfamiliar with northeast rust, Yes! I do plan to rebuild it, I think it is a fine candidate for restoration....you should see what we pass up here....not much :)

Hard to belive its been less than 3 weeks since Thing 1 came home and
already its down to parts and suddenly it has Thing 2 to keep it company
(and remind me where things go)

Thing 1 is going to be mine, semi custom, drivetrain to be determined.
Thing 2 is going to be mommas, its getting a full correct resto when Thing 1 is complete.

Cool things !!!

Cool Things people. Down here in Australia we are not lucky enough to get to many things. Which is a bummer cause I have been looking for one for a few years now.

Found the closest thing I could which is an Australian Country Buggy ...

Updated pics of my car after body work, primered, added pre-runner fiberglass front fenders and new front and rear tube bumpers.

The white thing is my friend's who also made me the bumpers.
