Paint codes

It's time to paint, I have some question to the original color of my car the paint chip that matched the color of my 1974 Thing was L64K Can this be true? Did VW give options on colors in 1974? Or where all cars painted avacado L60F. Code matched original paint on all fenders and under dash and body. Need help ASAP. please reply [email protected]

I'm sorry, but you have to be kidding - yes, VW had color options in 1974, even for the Thing.

was the color 64k only used on the karmim ghia and not the thing

things came in 4 colors in the us in 74 green, orange, yellow and white and they were all semigloss. finding a paint chip might be a little tough but things unlimited, german motor works or the thing shop can probably give you the codes.
