Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

I know this is a old thread but I thought I would pass along that Ark Mavis "The Heater Man" passed away some time ago. He was definetly the guru, he overhauled my heater 8 years ago and it still runs awsome !!! Great loss for the VW community .
