Correct, made in Germany with German parts, shipped off to the great white north and after being thoroughly frozen sent off to California to defrost.
That Porsche body sure brought back some memories, Dennis Prophet build one of these and I believe handled your body at one time.
I bought my frame from the Toy Dealer in Bolton Ontario after they build their first 356 speedster and lost their shirt on the deal. They had an extra frame sitting outside for about five years.
I bought it from them, had it blasted and primed and it spent the next ten years or so hanging in my shop.
Knowing how the place in Barrie, who originally build these things worked, it was probably a knockoff from Intermeccanica, not sure if they had a jig or not.
Technology and knowledge has not stood still. Many companies now make really nice aftermarket frames.
