picked this up today, weird buggy pickup deal

Post by studlybilly »

Hey gang, saw this little joker and when I fired her off and it ran and drove perfect I couldnt resist, as of now its either 1915 dual port and baja the $hit out of it, or 1915 dual port with some boost and spank ricers. I was told its 1 of 650 that were made, of course ultimately paint and redo some things and remove some other thing I dont like on it, or just sell it all together.

That's the first time that I have seen early 60's Mustang brake lights on a Volkswagen.

I checked out that buggy last year some time. Out in Middleburg, off of 218, right? It wasn't running at the time, and the pans were shot if I remember correctly.

I'd like it a lot more if it had a normal nose on it. Looks kinda bulbous, doesn't it. :)

Definitely different!

Where do you live?

The Buggy I got had then on it, first thing to come off too.

I never seen one of those, I kind-of like it.
Whatever you deside, I'd make it a streeter though, you got to have a mouth painted onto the weird shaped front end.

It's got potential.... great thing about fiberglass is that anything is possible and likely.... I've always thought about meshing on some parts from other cars and molding some custom stuff.

I've NEVER lost money on redoing fiberglass buggies...

If yours has a relief on the rear... it could be an Allison... I hate our buggy because we can't haul luggage... now yours would have potential.

I'm totally amazed at how fast prices are jumping on buggies.

You at least have some good parts.

Love it, really different. It would be the ultimate workshop parts hauler if you owned a business. The hardtop is good too. And what about the interior, just give it a clean and it's ready to go. :)

There a good chance, you could put those tail lights on ebay and get more than you payed for the buggy

I like it. Its worth fixing up. :D I would just change the hood to a Manx style.
I got a Joe Potty Sandrover T pickup body I picked up which I plan on doin the same to it (swapping out the hood).
