Rocker arm studs won't unscrew

Postby 84im » Mon Mar 20, 2017 7:38 pm

I'm in the process of installing a set of Pauter rockers on my stock 1600 dual port type 1 engine. I got the old stock rocker studs off one side, but the studs won't move on the other side.
I've used so much force I've started to strip the threads on the double nuts I'm using.
Any hints on how to get these serious stubborn studs out?

They are probably loctited in.
Take a small torch and heat the stud for a bit to break the loctite grip and it might work
Out.
The point wasn't to argue air temps with the current world record holder, but to dispel the claim that the K03 is wrapped up at 150 HP. It's not.
