accelerator pumps

Post by mlrailguy »

Both of my carbs need pump adjusted. They do not squirt till at full throttle and I would assume they should squirt as soon as throttle began to open. Do I begin tightening or loosening the nut on rod To achieve this?
You guys have been lots of help with all other questions I've had and I greatly appreciate this.

Has the carb been cleaned so you know the ports aren't clogged?

Backing the nuts off will give the largest pump stroke therefore the most volume
