Carbon buildup

Post by mlrailguy »

Just tore my 2332 down after aprx 100 hours of use and found quite a buildup of carbon on pistons and heads. What would be cause of this?

Once I get it back together, I will recheck. Seems like before, I had 0 deck height and used .060 head gaskets, with CB Performance 044 heads.

Did your tail pipe show rich? A big deck might cause it too, I hadn't thought about that. What was your CR with that deck?

was supposed to be 8.5-1. Yes, pipes have always been black. Running dual Weber 48's, they were supposed to have been jetted for 2276 by john Conner.
