remove case savers

Does anyone know the proper way to remove the case savers?

I removed some a few years ago, first I used a propane torch to heat them to disable the locktite that they should have been installed with, after an hour of cool time I threaded bolts with red locktite into them then let them set over night and threaded them out the next day. If you want to save them you can heat them again with propane torch and clamp between 2 pieces of wood in a vise and they will thread right out.
