Can you identify the 2 water temp sender units? I'm assuming one is for the ecu and one is for the gauge?
Measuring the resistance, I get 1.9 k on the blue one, and 0.9 k on the black one.
Which would be used as a water temp sender for an after market ecu (gotech pro using 5volt).
When I took them out, both look the same and says "12volt" with a part #.
Can you help me?
Marius
edit - forgot to add - it's from a 2.1 "CU" WBX motor.

Re: Help to identify
The blue shold be the sensor for the stock ECU
the black for the Gauge.
either way i asme u must calibrate the sensors in the new ECU anyway?

Re: Help to identify
That is true - calibration is needed. What was strange to me is the difference in resistance. I'm worried one might be a switch only (maybe for a fan?). You say blue is for the std ecu = that's what I'll try an' use. Thanks for the help.

Re: Help to identify
no its not a switch, it's the sensor for the engine temp gauge.
the switch for the fan is located in the radiator

Hi
I ran an after market ECU on my WBX powered 1302. I had some aluminium slugs made to fit in the hole that the stock senders fit in and tapped them to suit my ECU and temp gauge.

"CU" is 2L aircooled engine code..
Senders are odd on these vehicles, you might be better fitting a more common replacement screwed in elsewhere or even just in an "inline" adapter on the hose rather than trying to make these work..

Hi - thanks again for everyone's help - I'm already using the blue one down the dizzy hole on an aircooled 2 liter. Motor just start with the new ecu.

So far everything looks 100% and the low temp is picked up perfectly but I still need to run it up to like 90 degrees C.
I put it where the dizzy used to be hoping it'll get splashed with oil from the dizzy/cam gears.
Best
