Connecting rod bolt fit

Post by Pascal »

I have some rebuilt OE rods with used 1.9 bolts. One of the bolts can be pushed out a bit with hand pressur. Is that OK or should they be a press fit? Thanks

Hi, i would use another rod, no question, they should be a tight press fit in the cap.

I was afraid of that and I should have know. I bought those a few years ago for my project and I just had them balanced end to end too.

I just ordered a new set of Scat I beam with the small end machined to 24mm as I did not want to mess around getting another matching OE rod.
