threading type 1 crank for a bolt on flywheel

Post by Dougs Auto »

Has anyone ever threaded a forged type 1 crankshaft for bolts to hold on the flywheel getting rid of the gland nut. how easy will it thread and to what size.

Thanks Doug

I'm not sure if I understand the ? Why even use a T-1 crank in a waterboxer or a Oxyboxer. I would spend the money and use the reworked 2.1 crank over any other crank out there. To use the T-1 crank you would have to go back to the old style aluminum bearing with thrust built into the bearing. Rocky
