head stud pcd

Post by bugtub »

Apologies if this has been discussed before I have had a searched and cannot find an answer. The Wasserboxer has a head stud spacing of 100mm which is 141.42mm pcd what is the spacing of a type 1 engine

Had a look at some type 1 heads today, I was thinking they would be equally spaced on a pcd but there not. So I’m guessing that thinking a Wasserboxer is 100mm spacing is also wrong

Found this, FWIW: http://ultimateaircooled.com/engines/89 ... ttern.html

One of Rocky Jennings' specialities is modifying cases to alter the stud spacing, he probably has all the dimensions on hand (if not committed to memory)...http://rockyjennings.com/
