Joe, can it use a type 1 crank and cam?
How strong is it versus the type 1 case?

Purchasing a case
Hi Marty,
Good to see you on here...
I think you'd appreciate this motor conversion...
Here is V.W. Morten's site, check out the thumbnails....
http://cfi-ev.scram.de/OXYBOXER.htm
I do pretty much the same mods here in the U.S. for the Oxy... Maybe we could work out a sponsorship deal???
Check out what Jeff W/ the "Bad Bug II" is doing...

I would run a Wasser crank, you can run a Type I.
The cam is Type I, W/ Type IV lifters. I sleeve down to bug lifters on my motors...

hey joejoe of centorg wrote:I usually use the early 1.9 case W/ the later 2.1 crank. This combo with a set of Cima / Mahle 94's will net you 2100 cc's

is there any particular reason you use the 1.9 case? i've been reading through each page of this forum so if it's been posted i probably just havn't gotten there. the 1.9 case needs to clearanced to use the 2.1 crank? if so why not just use the 2.1 i'm really excited to see this option and am just tryin to learn as much as possible
thanks
