Thought I would post a few pics of the project I am working on. The work is slow I have a new wife and a new granddaughter. I just got the trans axle back from Air Cooled Epress I had it biult to hold up to the 2110cc turbo engine. I am installing a 2 inch narrowed front end. My wife is having fun with the new bug I bought her.

Love the chop top...I would have bought it if it would have been closer.

Put some more (bigger) pics up. That bug is cool. Did you do the body work?

I did not do the body work I bought it from a guy in California. Got lucky it was close to my sisters house so my brother in law bought it back to Iowa for me. Momma loves the new one but can"t wait to hot rod the old one when I get it done.

It has not been cut yet. There is a guy in the car club here in Sioux City that owned a glass company for years that I need to go see everyone says he can do it at a good price.

Momma also likes the fact that the new bug was made in Mexico just like her.

I have a friend that did his own chop, vent wings and all glass. That is why I asked. He said it was a major pain in the ass.

As many curves as a bug has it would be a major pain to chop. I think I will do one piece windows to save a little money and time.
