back to the headlights and Piledrivers mention of a T3 with the sloped lights, here is a pic I pulled off internet--I don't know who's it is, or even where I found it But it gives you an idea of using porsche 356 glass instead of bug glass (if I've correctly identified it). Notice also the tubbed wheel wells and porsche rims.

Slick car, probably has a narrowed T1 front beam.

Pulled my door panels. I've seen worse. I was actually expecting to see evidence of body work, but I think they are straight.

I have some completely rusted screws here that had to be drilled out. Had a heck of a time. Are these old factory screw tough as Hell or are my drill bits dull?

The factory actually used very very good hardware. Much better quality than US manuf of the same timeframe.

My better two thirds is trying to talk me into converting the Ghia into a roadster. I cannot deny they make beautiful roadsters, but I wonder just how much s*!t I would catches from the VW community purists.

What do the 'vert Ghias have that the coupes do not to strengthen the body?

additional parts down in heater channel area if I remember right. Somewhere here or on TOS there is a thread showing what parts exactly.

I'd do a ragtop, or full top sunroof before a full roadster though, just my personal preference--I've had a wrangler and a vw cabrio, and while top down was nice I've enjoyed my cars with a sunroof much more.

I was not aware of those. Think it could be retrofit to the body instead of the pan?
