Cheers guys, glad you like the Bug ....... most seem to!
To answer you questions....
57Oval guy....
The car does indeed look green in that pic (dunno what film/flash set up the guy was using but I think it need a good looking at! ) But rest assured it IS YELLOW, 'Sunburst-Yellow' to be exact.......... and very nice it is to if I do say so myself!
Here's a daylight shot just to clear that up.....
Jonny thanks for the kind words, unfortunately I don't have a website of the car...... maybe I should build one?.......nah .... building cars is more fun!
The Bug went down really well at the Volksworld show, 'didn't win anything but that really isn't an issue as just to be invited to the Volksworld show is compliment enough......... and some!
I've shown it around England at a few shows and it's done well so far, a few best of shows, best paints etc people seem to like the fact that it's a bit different to the norm' Cal looker, Resto Cal etc (NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THEM, I LIKE THEM JUST AS MUCH AS I LIKE MY STYLE!)
Thanks once again for your comments guys, as ever they're most welcome.

Hi Jean, thanks for the kind words!
to answer your questions,
Yes the one peice windows work fine for me, which is probably due to the, as you pointed out, electric wondows.
I've used longer window lifters as this keeps them more stable, and proper window seals/felts. And it all just works fine!
Cheers, 'glad you like the Bug

7000 views!!!!!!!!!!!! (you lot must be mad!)
'quick update on the bug,
MORE Amps and more speakers!
.......added another Audiobahn H/C amp for the rear 6x9's and 5x7's, the music is so clear, crisp and LOUD.......... well worth the effort!
6x9's are now boxed into the parcel shelf...
ad a 95amp alternator to run it all and ....... life is good!

Sounds like a type 4, stick with german engineering! As with the look its ok, I would twist my head more to see a nice stock one though.Anonymous wrote:When I said a change from the norm'............... the motor will still be a flat 4 but with H2O Think Subaru power! I know it's not to everyones taste but where else can you get that sort of reliable turn key power with NO worries? 250HP in a bug should be FUN!

I know it doesn't flick some peoples switches but if we were all the same life would be pretty boring
As for the Subaru thing, I'm looking at doing that to another (more modern ) bug now and a lot more besides..... I'm kinda enjoying this car as it is now!!
Type4 aint really an option for me over here, MUCHO EXPENSIVE! Scooby is a lot cheaper, 250+HP as stock.
Anyway thanks for taking the time to comment, Cheers
