The Spike TV channel has a website and the Truck show painted a '49 - '54 Chev pick’em up truck with a faux paint job. They showed the whole process and old graphics should not be much different. To paraphrase what Sneaks said; wet and dry sand paper and a lot of patience. Also; the knowing when to quit is important too.

Good luck on this and pictures of the process and finish work are now expected. :D
