CrMo Pushrod wall thickness

Post by Oil Phil-M »

Anyone know what the wall thickness of the Manton CrMo PRs are. Mine have been assembled and I was looking to cut a bit off next to the tip and shorten.

Something went wacky when I was calculating P.R. length, looks like I have 0.5mm / 0.020" too much diff between Int & Ex for the split duration cam. I have dremel cut off blades of the same thikness and with a jig set up can do the job, just not sure how far to cut before its ready to pound the tip deeper.

Thanks Jake.

Turns out to be pretty much a self-regulated process anyways. Once the skinny little abrasive cut-off disk is throught the CrMo and meets up with the hardened tip it quickly looses its cutting edge going no deeper.
