I used these a lot when I lived in Finland, but so far I havent' been able to find them in the US??
Cutting disc / abrasive wheel for angle grinder, center hole 22.2mm and overall diamater 4.5 to 5"
THICKNESS 1.0mm or 0.8mm
I found 1mm thick discs at www.smithandarrow.com but don't know if they are good or not. So far no sign of 0.8mm. I could order those from Finland but the prices are a bit steep.

I got some DEWALT 4.5 inch (115mm) disks, 7/8 by .045 (22.2mm X 1.2mm) ..... at Lowes..
Dewalt number DW8062... GOOGLE "Shopping" pops them up anywhere from $.99 to about $2.50 a disk (plus shipping) ... Do not remember what I payed for mine....
I really like them.... I am really torturing my first disk and its holding better than a whole 5 pack of HF disks....

Acme, it's a construction supply store. They sell various brands (DeWalt, Bosch, Lennox, etc.), and they usually have them in multi packs at prices better than at Home Depot or Lowes.
Or go to your local welding supply shop. The name brand cut-off discs last a lot longer than the HF no-name brands (I used five of the HF brand compared to one of the Bosch cut-off wheels while separating a body panel from its substructure.)

I use the hilti ones from home depot they hold up the best but they cost more.
I hate the smell of the dust they creat when useing the cheap discs.

I've been using thin ones manufactured by Fortney, maker of welding and grinding supplies. They hold up a lot longer than the 'no-name' cheap China made ones I have used.
