I Just finished putting my 79 bus back together. This thing had a persistent leak where the dipstick enters or is connected to the oil fill pipe. The original boot was hard and cracked and I couldn't find a replacement. It finally occurred to me to use a straight silicone rubber spark plug boot and cut it to lenghth. It fits perfectly and is stretchy enough to easily install. Thought this might help someone else.
