photos of ACVW's on 4 post lift

Post by DORIGTT »

Hello,

I'm trying to find any pics of ACVW's on 4 post lifts. I'd like one for storage, but I'm concerned the track is too narrow / narrow enough that it's dangerously close to missing the ramps based on the experience I had getting my car home.

Thanks.

Not sure a picture will help as the ramp dimensions can vary by lift manufacturer. I suggest measuring the front and rear track width of the car (inner and outer) and use that as the basis for your research. I have seen smaller cars such as Austins and MGs on 4-post lifts (see below). Only issue I can possible see is an ACVW with an extreme narrowed front beam(>4" narrowed) and narrow profile front tires.

Look for lift with adjustable width on ramps...

I ended up laying out tape lines on the garage floor, and selecting a more narrow lift.

Thanks
