Hello and welcome,
Where in Ohio are you located? I am in NE Indiana but have offroad friends in OH,KY, and PA. We all use the 091 trans that you use in your offroad application.
Take Care

Good quality is getting harder and harder to find.

I am located in Logan County, OH, approximately and hour north of Dayton and an hour NW of Columbus. Have a good friend located in NE IN, near Grabill.
Doc, Henry, what am I missing in pic 2? I can go take more if you'll point out what specifically You want to see.

Based on what i can see in the pics,I would replace the 1/2 operating sleeve, replace the 1/2 shift fork with a steel one,& update the reverse assembly to late model including replacing reverse itself. There is a reliable way to calculate the 1/2 & reverse adjustment, but a measurement must be done BEFORE you remove the gear carrier from the case. That being said, you can either temporarily reassemble it for this measurment,or send the assembly out for fork adjustment, assuming you don't want to buy the fixture.

I think doc meant the 3rd pic (of the 2nd set you attached). The front of the engagement teeth on 2nd gear have their points worn off. Somoeone obviously had a hard time keeping it in gear and/or getting it into gear. The broke shift fork most likely the reason. That is why it all needs to come apart now and parts need to be inspected and replaced.TreatyLineFarms wrote:I am located in Logan County, OH, approximately and hour north of Dayton and an hour NW of Columbus. We all suffer from that from time to time.doc wrote:Sorry, too old to count correctly.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Checking in...
All seems to be well so far, been across 12-1500 acres since the OH. Unfortunately with the wet weather I didnt get all my acres planted, but such is life. The little thing does not weigh much compared to bigger outfits, so I was hired to spray some additional ground that others couldnt get across. The other alternative was a crop duster, and while I like to see airplaned flying 130 mph 8' off the ground as much as the next guy, the extra money was nice.
I had some trouble with the Pierburg carb, but a Weber conversion fixed that right quick. Thanks again for all the help, its been much appreciated.

Re: Spra-coupe Transaxle
Excellent. .I'm glad it's working well. I have been very busy this year. I have built more this year then any 2 other years combined. It's a good thing the spray coupe is light as the trans is not real heavy-duty. You could always go to a bus trans though if you changed mounts shifter etc. Keep in touch!!
