<edit 5/21: Have one on the way >
I need to go taller on my trike (right now it has a stock AH box w/flipped ring gear). Have a couple of AN late DSC 'Ghia transmissions w/3.875:1 R&P but I'd like to go even taller...it was humiliating having 6-speed Harleys blow by me in Wyoming & Montana last summer 3100-3200 @80 should be about right, it'll have an 88x76 motor that should pull from ~2000. Don't want to go too wide of a spread from 3rd to 4th, though, for climbing the passes so no ~.7 4th.
I possess a Berg late mainshaft converted to keyed 3/4 but it's in a 4.375 box that has nothing wrong with it. I have another good 4.375 box with a .82 4th but IIRC it's early style. Just as soon not take either one apart to scrounge parts.
I could do this quick & dirty by flipping the ring and changing 4th on a c1971 trans, does anyone have a .82 w/decent synchro hub to sell me? Needs to come to 98028.

Re: Bus 4ths
I haven't taken any of my AN transmissions apart yet, but I'm presuming I'll be needing splined, 23/28, with the pre`73 NON furnace-brazed synchro hub. I don't have any qualms about grinding off the thick teeth on the hub for this project, so long as the good ones aren't blunted. I may just be able to press off the hub from the .88 gear, but it'd be nice to not have to worry about needing to find one when the time comes.
