Hi Guys.
On my split bus when I am driving down the road up to say 40mph all is good NO NOISE ISSUES. With the bus HIGHER than 40 mph which is an increase in RPM as well I experience a noisy drumming noise. The gears are there, no issue shifting, no jumping out of gear, I drove it like this yesterday for a couple hundred miles. just a loud drumming from the rear of the bus. Gets worse the faster you go. If I put the clutch in the noise goes away.
Its not like a diff whine.
Any ideas.
Thanks Guys.

No, Its a standard bus box. Could it be 1 or all the reduction box bearings worn out.

Re: Bad drumming sound
Could be .. but more likely your mainshaft ball bearing.

ahh, roger that. Is the fact that its ok up to 40mph a good indicator that its the main shaft ball bearings.
Bad RGB bearings would show up as being ruff when you spin the drums by hand. Yes.
Thanks for input pablo
