Speedo cable hole?
Anybody have a spindle laying around that can measure the diameter of the hole through the spindle for tge cable to feed through? Anybody know of any passenger side spindles that are drilled through?

The RHD cars still drive the speedo from the LH dustcap/spindle. I'm out of town right now so I don't have a spindle handy to measure the bore....

just checked my rhd (any diff?) disk spindles and i can put an 8mm head stud down it (tiny bit of wiggle to it) but its not a straight hole, its got a bend near the back (i.e. nearest backing plate)
hope that helps?

.325" from spindle nut side. All the way through, no steps or shoulders.
.475" from ball joint side X.900" deep (pocket for the rubber bushing)

That .475" dial pocket is leaned away from the ballpoint 10-15 degrees.
Anyway. All measurements taken from a Ghia ball joint spindle.
If you need more particulars, holler back.

Yep, hat shaped rubber bushing that holds the cable in place

About 10 years ago CB accidentally drilled the right spindle on a set I had. Be tough to find that one now.Chip Birks wrote: Anybody know of any passenger side spindles that are drilled through?
