Is it AMPS or is it VOLTAGE?
That keeps my battery charged?

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Short answer... both!David58bug wrote:Is it AMPS or is it VOLTAGE?

Now to make a short story long...
The voltage is the pressure in the system. If you don't charge with enough pressure, you will never fully fill the battery.
The amperage is how fast you fill the battery with the voltage. If you were to do a low amperage trickle charge, you would slowly fill it, but deeply also. If you were to fast charge it with high amperage, you would get the voltage up quicker, but it would be more of a surface charge. Too much amperage, you end up cooking your battery!
Now the above example would be with a battery charger. In actual practice while in the vehicle, the charging system should supply the proper amount of amperage to meet all of the demands of the electrical system while recharging the battery from the last engine start. All of this while maintaining a constant voltage.
