Wiring 3 wires together 'T' ? 'Y' ?
How are you guys wiring three wires together? If it's in a 'T' format are you striping the straight piece and wrapping the other wire onto it or is it better to make a 'Y' so you can maybe get some heat shrink on there? Or are some guys just bringing all three to a point?
Does PICO make a nice three-way connector of some sort?
EDIT: found this.Anyone use them?
This is why I'm questioning how to wire the below schematic.

Miserable connector and to big for what you want because center section is bare and will short out if not taped up and not for wire size of diode.......
Best deal is to just put a pushon connect (female) on each end of diode and use adapter to connect original wire and diode to relay terminal (85 & 86) . ..
Available at nearest FLAPS ( Friendly Local Auto Parts) or better hardware stores....
Also if you smoke diode or connect it up backwards its easy to change....

Everything to the left of the relay will be done inside the enclosure along with the flyback diode, so all that is soldered.
That just leaves the need for switched power outside the ecu, and you can grab that from the the input to the relay board or a keyed ignition source. No need for for one of the throwing stars.

Which enclosure? I was trying to do it just hanging in the open.MarioVelotta wrote:Everything to the left of the relay will be done inside the enclosure along with the flyback diode, so all that is soldered.

In the ECU enclosure, keep it out of the way so you don't hit it at some point and brake it.
Use on of the spare output pins on the DB37 for the output to the relay trigger.

I have it coming off the FIDLE from the relay board. Is this why it's not working?MarioVelotta wrote:

I thought that's what this meant----> FIdle - PM2 (DB37 pin #30)

Where I have wanted to splice multiple wires together, I have been using push on junction boxes like these -
The sort of instances where these have come in handy are where I've fitted accessories like gauges and wanted to splice in additional wiring for bulbs etc... I found tinning the wires with solder made them much easier to push into the connector and a cable tie keeps everything nice and secure.

those are WAGO's...don't see any reason they wouldn't work, not the most robust splice though. I use them all the time at work, but for automotive I'll usually stick to factory VW insulated splice connectors.
