34PICT3 linkage clearance prob at alternator – Help Please!

Post by Jim Ed »

Some say to grind a little off the alternator, some say to use a spacer.

Some say to buy a linkage from an old 34PICT3 that was meant to fit with an alternator and other say to flip the linkage so it will fit.
How do you do that?
TIA!

I have heard that some people just bend the inlet manifold over slightly, cringe.
That might work but myself I have always flipped the arm or ground a relief in the alternator housing. Raising the carb is also simple.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.
