BOSCH TCI-h transistor ignition connections

Hi all,

I have a NOS Bosch TCI-h electronic ignition kit without any instructions. It is complete with the control box (P/N: 0 227 100 011) with 6 connections, the dedicated coil, the trigger module & associated rotor, and a 'dual' ballast resistor.

Can anyone confirm my assumptions regarding wiring this up, please?

The pins on the control box are labeled: 8h, 31d, 7, 15, 16, 31.
I've done some digging round the web for this & I think the trigger unit connects as follows:
Pin 8h ---> the green tail on the trigger module
Pin 31d ---> to the brown tail on the trigger module
pin 7 ---> the Black/red tail on the trigger module

I would guess that pin 15 takes a switched +12v supply from, possibly from connection 15 on the coil...?
Also, I would guess that pin 31 would go to earth...?
That would leave pin 16 connecting to connector 1 on the coil (i.e. where the condenser would connect on a stock setup)...?

Is this correct? I don't want to risk toasting it!

So.. the ballast resistor.. needed? If so where should it go?! As mentioned it is 2 resistors with a common connection at one end.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

cheers

Paul
