Not any more than a good tune up. The Blue coil is 7.5% more powerful than the OEM "Black" coil. A set of old plug wires etc. will zap you right down again.

Coils do not make power. You could run a dozen coils on your motor and not notice a difference (except possibly the extra weight).

The ignition system only uses as much "power" as it requires to jump the spark plug gap inside the combustion chamber. No fancy coil, dizzy, wire set, or plugs will produce a more powerful spark.

What the blue coil does allow you to do is increase your engine's compression ratio and/or increase the spark plug gap without weakening the spark. With a stock coil, these new parameters might force the coil to work harder than it was designed for. Installing a more powerful coil gives you that extra "power" should you decide to increase the spark gap or your compression ratio.

If you want a noticable improvment in startups and power install a CDI ignition.
You will notice the difference.

Is a CDI better than a MSD ignition? What's the difference? Are they just different brands of the same thing?
