Hey Lance, you should post some info on the low emission USPS conversions you are involved with on EFI 101. I would love to hear more.

Those are for Motorcycles so they cost 2X as much. At least.
(I'm used a Dyna ignition to run those DIS coils on the old Wing... If it ever rolls again it will be `squirted)

Time after spark is also not the setting you want.
(unless you have an old SAAB with Trionic system)

If you have recent firmware the little tooltips (? boxes) are quite useful these days.
(The devs have worked hard on them)

That's been done, this one was just getting an 86 Cabby back on the road.
(Purpose: so I can drop the motor in the square and fab the AC bracket properly)

I need help... Crank Crank Crank Crank Crank.. backfire.... sometimes it starts, but shuts off as soon as you let go off the starter.

Image

IGN-4 Terminal Pin 3 goes to white 14 gauge wire on the quadspark, thats connected via yellow wire to IGN-OUT1 (white)
IGN-4 Terminal Pin 1 goes to green 14 gauge wire on the quadspark, thats connected via light-green wire to IGN-OUT2 (white/red)
IGN-4 Terminal Pin 2 goes to 7.5 AMP fused and switched +12v.

IGN-4 Tower #1 goes to CYL #1 } supposedly triggered by pin #3
IGN-4 Tower #4 goes to CYL #3 } supposedly triggered by pin #3

IGN-4 Tower #2 goes to CYL #2 } supposedly triggered by pin #1
IGN-4 Tower #3 goes to CYL #4 } supposedly triggered by pin #1

Code: Select all

  IGN-4 Label Cyl Spark Output
    [ 4 ] [ 3 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ]
    [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 1 ] [ 2 ]
pin |3 2 1| |3 2 1|

Set it to 10 degrees fixed advance and take a trigger log/post.

I defer to IGN4 users as to dwell settings.
