Jetting a single 36 drla

Post by roadtrekbug »

Good Morning/ Afternoon/ day to you fine folks.

Im sure there is and answer to this floating around somewhere but i have spent hours searching to no avail.
Im equally sure that there is no deffinate answer to this question which could be the reason i have stuggled to find it!

I have a single 36 drla going on my 1641 with extraction exhaust, port and polished heads and scat 25 cam. I appriciate it will take trial and error to get it running perfectly but does anyone have an idea for where to start with regards to jets.

Cheers Peeps.

Hey Roadtrek,

Welcome to the forums.

Sometimes it is easier to just install the carbs and see how the engine runs.

www.aircooled.net has a good writeup on how to jet carbs and I think Redline weber does too.

With that single carb you are going to need a good intake heat setup and a little larger idle jet than what duals use since your carb is so far away from the heads.
