Single Weber IDF replacement setup? CB or?

I'm looking to replace my single weber 44 IDF carb with a throttle body. I'm sick of my carbs going to trash from water/crap in the float bowl, having to blow them out for storage, plugged jets, ect. I would like to run the injectors at the throttle body and not at the end castings.

I really just want to bolt on the throttle body/injectors and replace my 44IDF for fuel. I am considering the CB performance replacement for the IDF, but is there a better throttle body setup than the CB, someone like jenvey? Looking for blow through turbo single TB FI in my off-road buggy with an IDF intake. Definitely going for EDIS/MS too. I don't care if the injector placement isn't ideal just as long as it works as good as the 44idf it's replacing. Any experience with the CB setup would be great as that's the setup I'm considering (48mm).

My setup is:
86mm crank
94mm jugs
5.5" rods
web cam 86a on 113*LC
40 X 35.5 heads p&p'd
Weber IDF intake manifold with welded and ported end castings (I don't want to drill or remove them)
.60/.63 T3 turbo from a ford 2.3L

EDIT: does the CB system work with EDIS/MS?

Thanks in advance for the help guys.

2nd EDIT: I just talked to CB and they said I have to have the injectors mounted in the end castings if I want to run a single center mount FI system :( . Is this correct or is CB just trying to sell me some crap I don't need? I guess I'm looking for a TBI with an IDF pattern if they exist.

Ok, I just found this TBI IDF fuel injection conversion for a 4.2l jeep straight six that looks EXACTLY like the CB TB's. The injectors aren't shooting right into the cylinders, so can I do this on my VW?

EDIT: this thread just answered my question.

So yes I can do it but it will run about the same as the carb. I think the turbo will help it out though.

uhh.. well then forget that. I was just going to use the throttle body and the TPS sensor but if none of it works then what TB bolts up to IDF flanges and works with EDIS/MS?

Wait: you were just talking about the TB's? The management system doesn't care what's letting the air in, so long as it knows how fast the throttle blade is moving (TPS). I thought you implied some sort of hybrid CB/MS ECU pairing, which is a no-no. You can use any TB you want, so long as it has a TPS sensor.

I'll probably just go with the CB bodies+TPS since I have the hat, manifold, linkage, ect for a single IDF already. I'm definitely going with EDIS/MS and weld in bungs. Where's a good place to get MS? Should I get I, II, or III?

This is an ancient thread but did you ever do anything with that single weber ?
