Fuel line size for TB

Post by erwin4734 »

Good morning,
What size fuel line would be best for 42mm TB setup on an 2165 type 4 (160hp)? I purchased 3/8 line, but looks mighty big compared to the OEM line. Planing on using the stock line as the return line. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Thanks, 3/8 equals about 9mm. I guess that's pretty close. Thanks again.

You can use the stock fuel line as a return line. It's been discussed here several times over the years. The smaller stock line may increase the annular velocity of the fuel returning the tank, but shouldn't create a restriction (pressure increase) on the return side if you mount the pressure regulator near the engine. It's up to you, but unless you're running some insane amount of fuel flow you can use the stock line as a return.
