2 Wire Idle Control Valve recommendations?

I have a Mexican Beetle with MS2 installed. I have been unable to get the standard 3 wire ICU to behave so I want to install a 2 wire ICU.

Can anyone recommend a 2 wire ICU that will fit on to the standard Mexican 1600i throttle body?

I have one that fits, but I wound up not using it on my setup because you have to run it to a monster resistor. I didn't like the idea of all of that electrical load being dissipated as heat all of the time so I wound up just getting a Bosch 3 wire instead.

I have used multiple Bosch 2 wire setups. Love them. Just go to your local pick a part and find one that looks like your 3 wire. Look in early 90s water-cooled VW's. CIS cars have them I think.

Bosch 0280140516 has been recommended. Any idea of the frequency and Open/closed values for this ICU?

I run mine at 20hz.
Its pretty easy to determine open and closed values. Just fire the engine up with it installed, open test mode and mess with the idle valve pw. You should be able to identify what you want pretty easily.

Interesting. How do you run it that low? My MS2 will only go down to 32 hz??

I have an ms3. It runs at the same frequency as my boost control.
I ran one on ms2 back in '09. I can't remember the frequency's available, but it ran just fine with it. You may just have to mess with it a little.
