Hi, can wheels be machined to a smaller offset ?

i assume wheels are all the same just with varying amounts more metal for the offset adjustment. so getting machined down shouldnt be that difficult ? am i right ?

Machining the mounting flange would increase the ET, not decrease it. There would be a larger distance away from the wheel centerline if machined.

this is one thing i've never been able to get to grips with.... The wheel i have has a large amount of inside the wheel around the bolt holes which makes the wheel stand outside of the wing.... Are you able to machine down the wheel mounting to make it go flush with the wing ?

what you want is a larger offset, not smaller.
Im not sure if you could machine the backs or not, it would
probably vary from wheel to wheel

yeah i want to increase the offsett from et53 to about et23 to make the wheels go closer to the car....

if u shaved 30mm of it to bring the wheel in it would be going from et+53 to et+83

-they aso make an 8

16 inch 993 whhens 5 spokes with the scaloped spokes are also available in et 70 -9j

-bbs carrera 9j 18's - come 9 with et 65

-i have a pair of et55 9j cup 2 to trade for 70 et
or the bbs carrera 5 spoke ones in 18

9j et70 with a 245 in a splitty

course it on a bbug width 944 set up, -924 's' hubs
20mm clearance to the wing

i'd bet i could get some 10's in - need to have the perfect et though
-9j 65 et would be perfect for me
